A native of Israel, Montreal based composer Eldad Tsabary (b. 1969) spent seven years in New York City where he composed chamber and orchestral music with special interest in trombone, guitar, and electro-acoustics. His music was heard at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall, Stanford University's CCRMA, The Synthese 2003 festival in Bourges, France, and Bar-Ilan University in Israel, to name a few, collaborating with an array of established musicians such as award-winning trombonist Haim Avitsur, the Cygnus Ensemble, and composer Robert Cuckson.
Eldad received his education at CUNY's Graduate School and University Center PhD program, the Mannes College of Music, and the Rimon School of Jazz and Contemporary Music in Israel. He studied composition under David Loeb, David Del Tredici, David Olan, and Tim Brady and theory under Carl Schachter, Philip Rupprecht, and Philip Lambert.
